Always keen to wax lyrical and knitcal about local wool, podcaster Louise Scollay will be joining the WoolNEss fun in the Reception of Biomedicine West on Sunday 4th August between 11 am and 3pm.
"ISN'T BRITISH WOOL ALL SCRATCHY? ISN'T BRITISH WOOL EXPENSIVE? ISN'T BRITISH WOOL ALL BROWN????"
Louise has often been presented with these myths about buying and crafting with local wool and she is utterly motivated to quash them and put the wool in your hands to try for yourself.
If you have ever wanted to know more about the wool available in the UK, or wondered about supporting local through your making; or wanted to just feel what some of the 70+ British sheep breeds feel like in yarn form then come and visit!
Louise will be bringing oodles of wool and fibre swatches - all grown, spun and processed in the UK - for you to try, wear and ask questions about. Already love local wool, come along and show off your local wool WIPs and FOs!
